The last time there has been a gray veil of ignorance in my future was eight years ago before I began the MD/PhD program. I couldn't imagine where I would be and what my life would look like.
But now, not only can I not imagine where I'll be, but I also do not know if or what area of medicine I will be training in for residency. It's an interesting place to be: scary, but also full of possibilities.
